Temporary/Limited Permit:

A limited permit is available to graduates of an approved school and those who are foreign trained while awaiting the NBCOT certification examination. Candidates must take the certification exam within 90 days of the date their Eligibility Confirmation Notice is issued. There is an associated fee of $120 for OTs and $70 for OTAs. ‍‍

Initial Licensing Fees:

OT Fee: $150
OTA Fee: $100

Timeline:

Renewal:

Licenses must be renewed every 2 years.  OT licenses expire on 12/31 and OTA licenses expiring on 6/30. The renewal fee is $120 for OTs and $100 for OTAs.
