Tell us about yourself.

I have a lovely daughter Grace. We are passionate about travelling and experiencing wild things in wild places. Michigan made. Alaska living.

There’s a lot to tell when it comes to Hope (know anyone that writes books)? Lol

There have been a few times in my life that I thought I had taken my last breath. I don’t take a day or a minute of my life for granted! God has blessed me with two amazing children and so far two beautiful grandchildren.

I am a nurse half of the time and the other half I am Mississippi Queen Outdoors. I film and hunt and encourage others by doing all of my favorite things like bowfishing, fishing, hunting, overlanding in my Jeep Gladiator, and exploring/hiking in areas where I take my travel nurse assignments.

I have been blessed to be on some outdoor tv shows to continue my own favorite hobby of hunting and fishing all over the country with them.

Three years ago, I was in a terrible accident and suffered C, T, L, and S-Spinal injuries, along with a few other life changing injuries. I had to relearn how to do things that we take for granted every single day. After going through rehab and having to relearn how to do even the simplest things, I knew somehow, I wanted to show others who have been told that they will never do certain things or that they can’t, that THEY CAN! I felt God leading me to get people outdoors who needed to get closer to him and into the peace of God’s Country so I started a non-profit named Heavenly Outdoors Providing Empowerment (HOPE) where I take these beautiful souls outdoors and show them that they CAN!

What drives you at work?

The most rewarding part of working in healthcare staffing has been being able to use my past experiences in life, good or bad, and apply it to my patients and/or families.

What would you tell someone considering Uniti Med for their next assignment?

Do it! I have been a travel nurse for 8 years with multiple companies and since I started with Uniti Med I haven’t even spoken to any other recruiters or companies. I have never had a company who made me feel like they were actually working to help me and not just out to get me somewhere so I can just be another paycheck for them.

Uniti Med has shocked me by all the resource they have including housing resources and the availability of 401K matching up to 4%. That’s unseen these days anywhere, much less a travel agency! They care!

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

Alaska or New Zealand to hunt bears, mountain lions, and a red stag. Also, I’m shooting for a tropical place to travel nurse at soon and I know my Uniti Med recruiter will have some great recommendations.

Do you have a favorite quotes or mantra that guides you?

“There’s Always Hope in God!”

What are three things on your bucket list?

I have a few goals for the upcoming year.

One goal being go to New Zealand to hunt and take a Red Stag.

Second goal being take a gorgeous Mule Deer in Colorado.

A third and biggest goal is to find sponsorships to help finish the ADA compliant lodge to house clients and family who have been given a terminal prognosis, disabled children and adults, wounded warriors, or those just battling life and/or depression and want to be able to get outdoors and feel the peace and get closer to God out in God’s Country.
